Advocate Nisreen Alayan is an attorney, field worker, and public speaker from Beit Tzafafa. Alayan leads the East Jerusalem project at The Clinical Legal Education Center of the Hebrew University, representing residents living in poverty and dealing with social security, employment, court orders, and the Jerusalem Municipality. Alayan also manages The Clinic for Multiculturalism and Diversity, which promotes policies against discrimination on behalf of Palestinian, Ultra-Orthodox, transgender, and Ethiopian populations. Alayan holds a Master of Public Law from Tel Aviv University and Northwestern University in Chicago and previously served as an attorney and field worker for the East Jerusalem Project at the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI). |
